Pre-Council Meeting, 4 September 2012

Tonight is Bellevue Council’s September 2012 Pre-Council Meeting.  Typically speaking pre-council meetings are uneventful and merely a formality prior to the actual council meeting a week later.  This month, however, we encourage as many to attend both the pre-council meeting and the regular council meeting due to the content of the discussion listed on the agenda.  Bellevue Council is attempting to spend $3,000 of tax payer money on trees it can get for free through numerous regional programs.  Additional, it is requesting the $3K without the normally required procedure of seeking out multiple bids from competing contractors.  Instead the money is getting ear marked right away for Steel City Landscaping, a company owned by the son of one of our favorite “Non-resident Political Activists” who will do anything in his power to “get his friends elected.”

Sound suspect to you?  It sounds down right dirty to us.  Come and be part of the discussion.
