Get Involved!

getinvolved-bannerThose of us who have chosen to make our homes, raise our children, establish our businesses, and otherwise lay our roots in Bellevue know the qualities that make Bellevue great. However, our community is only ever as good as the people who are actively involved in its progress. Regardless of whether we agree or not, the more we become less engaged in our local government, school district, or community development groups, the more our community suffers.

In the coming days we have numerous opportunities to re-engage our community, to hear what is being considered from the source, to add our voice, and be a part of Bellevue’s development and progress. We hope you’ll consider participating in the meetings listed below.

Northgate School District, Special Board Meeting regarding Elementary Realignment Proposal: Monday, January 26, 7pm in High School Administrative Board Room

Northgate District Review with Superintendent Dr. Pasquerilla: Tuesday, January 27, 6:30pm in Avalon Elementary Cafeteria

Bellevue Council, Regular January Meeting: Tuesday, January 27, 7:00pm, in Bellevue Borough Building

Bellevue Initiative for Growth and Revitalization (BIGr) Town Hall Meeting regarding upcoming Community Development Projects: Wednesday, February 4, 7:00pm in The Center of Bellevue (corner of N Sprague and Lincoln Ave)

  1. Too bad that the Northgate update had to be scheduled at virtually the same time as Bellevue’s regular council meeting. I would have loved to attend the Northgate meeting but, unfortunately, wouldn’t have looked good for a Bellevue council member to miss his own meeting. Given that the dates of our council meetings are always consistent month-to-month, it would have been nice if the school district would have checked the calendar before scheduling its own meeting.
